PrizePicks offers a different way to play fantasy sports than simply building a lineup of different golfers on a salary. There are different categories of props and matchups, which are not often offered anywhere else. I’m going to go through a few plays of mine for the Wyndham Championship.

PrizePicks has birdie matchups, fairways hit, greens in regulation, score and occasionally scoring on set holes on the course. These props are setup for single-round action allowing you do adjust as you go and get more information as the tournament progresses. Occasionally, such as for majors, PrizePicks will offer “holes played” which is basically picks golfer to make or miss the cut, in which case the props will take place over the first two rounds.

If you have never played on Prize Picks or what more background, I highly suggest reading this article by FTN’s Tyler Loechner on how it works. It’s a great breakdown of the site works.

Wyndham Championship Picks

I am going to be targeting a few golfers in the “strokes” prop for round one. The two golfers I am going to be targeting are Kevin Kisner and Tyrrell Hatton.

Hatton has only played this event one time which was in 2016, and he missed the cut shooting 68-71. While that is not a real part of my score prediction for him in round one it never hurts to check a player’s history at the course. Assuming scoring is close to usual at Sedgefield, I think more often than not Hatton is not shooting -4 with his current skill rating. Of course, he’s capable but we’re playing the probabilities versus the odds we’re being offered by PrizePicks Power Play option.

Kisner has quite a bit more history at this course and is the defending champion, firing all four rounds under 67 last year, having played a career total 28 rounds, firing under 67 a total of 9 times. He does fit the course however he hasn’t exactly been playing his best golf of late and again it’s simply a numbers game. I project him to score under 67 only 31% of the time at the level he’s current playing, which combined with Hatton’s projection gives us a nice play on the two props.

Stroke Prop

  • Tyrrell Hatton OVER 67
  • Kevin Kisner OVER 67
