It is now the week before the U.S. Open, and this week brings us the Palmetto Championship at Congaree. I prefer to just think that the U.S. Open is just next week and how exciting diving into pricing will be for Torrey Pines, but Congaree brings a unique course, a first-time venue to boot, and there are plenty of big contests to hop into.

In general, we really don’t know much about Congaree besides the pictures and the scorecard. My interpretation is the course will not play as long as the scorecard suggests, somewhat due to the PGA Tour doesn’t tip out every hole every day anyways, and mostly due to the fact this low country course is extremely firm and fast through the green.
