DFS is one of the most popular ways to play fantasy games, and new and unique ways to play DFS continue to crop up across the industry. One of the most fun and unique ways to play daily fantasy sports is Jock MKT.
Have you tried Jock MKT yet? It’s a new way to play DFS, crossing market strategy and fantasy sports into one. JockMKT turns each game into its own stock exchange, and you can buy and sell the players in real-time for real money.

Jock MKT is a mobile app available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store that lets you play DFS with a stock market twist.
In Jock MKT, you bid on players before an event starts, you trade shares of players during the event, and you watch the money pile up if your players perform well.
How do you play Jock MKT?
You can play Jock MKT in two phases:
IPO: Before an event starts, you bid on “shares” of players for that event — just like you would buy stocks on the stock market. Player shares start at $1 and the price can increase as JockMKT users bid for the right to own a share of the best players.
Live Trading: Once an event starts, you can buy or sell shares of players in real-time with other JockMKT users. Like the open stock markets, the player prices are determined by user trading activity — which is driven by in-game performance.
Payouts are based on how many fantasy points a player scored relative to the other players in that contest.
“Each player is automatically assigned their rank value once scoring is final,” notes JockMKT in their FAQ, explaining how payment works. “For example, if 5th place overall is worth $20, and Tom Brady finishes with the 5th most points, then every user holding Tom Brady receives $20 per share.”
Payouts are fixed and guaranteed for each ranking. This is significant because it means you don’t necessarily have to own shares of the highest-scoring, biggest-name players of the match to win some money. You just need to buy low or sell high on any player in the game!

How do you make money on Jock MKT?
You make money by buying low and/or selling high on fantasy players during games. The following is a hypothetical scenario: Let’s say you buy a share of a player for $5 during the IPO stage, which might mean they would have to finish 10th overall in fantasy points (among players in that game) for you to break even. If they finish better than 10th, you’d make some money. If they finish worse than 10th, their value would decrease.
The in-game trading ability means you could also sell high on a player. For example, if your WR catches a 50-yard TD on the first drive of the game and you’re not sure they are going to do much else the rest of the contest, you can sell high. Alternatively, you could buy low on a player that keeps getting wide open — but the QB is just barely off-target. If you think they’ll finally connect on a deep TD in the second half of the game, you might want to buy low in the first half when the passes are just missing.
