What is PrizePicks?

PrizePicks is a fantasy sports platform that was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in the USA.

Unlike other popular DFS platforms like DraftKings and FanDuel, you play against the house on PrizePicks — not against other players. This can offer a nice change of pace for fantasy sports players, as you aren’t up against hundreds of thousands of other contestants every slate. Instead, all you have to do is beat the lines.

PrizePicks is available on the web or via a mobile app, available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. You can sign up using this PrizePicks registration link and code FTN for a deposit bonus.

How does PrizePicks work?

Want to learn how PrizePicks works? Here is a how to play video directly from the source.

PrizePicks is extremely straightforward and easy to pick up on. You either pick 2-5 players and predict if each one will go over or under their projected fantasy score.

It’s similar to parlays in props, and it’s really simple to pick up on.

There are several game choices depending on if you pick two, three, four or five players as part of your card. The two game choices to know are Power Play and Flex Play

Power Play game choices on PrizePicks

Power Plays are essentially all-in picks. You either get everything right and hit a big payout, or you don’t get everything right and lose your entire entry fee. There is no in between.

  • Pick 2 players to go over/under the projected fantasy score. If you get them both right, you win 3x your entry fee
  • Pick 3, and if you get them all right win 5x your entry fee
  • Pick 4, and if you get them all right win 10x your entry fee

Flex plays are essentially hedged picks. You win the top prize if you get 100% of the card right, but you can still win some money (or make some of your entry fee back) even if you don’t get everything right.

  • Pick 5 players: Go 5-of-5 to win 10x, go 4-of-5 to win 2x, or go 3-of-5 to win 0.4x
  • Pick 4 players: Go 4-of-4 to win 5x, go 3-of-4 to win 1.5x
  • Pick 3 players: Go 3-of-3 to win 2.25x, go 2-of-3 to win 1.25x
  • Pick 2 players: Go 2-of-2 to win 2x, go 1-of-2 to win 0.5x
